Dear Lilith Fair,
Last night I sweated out my impurities by dancing in a hot hot warehouse in Brooklyn where Bjork was DJing. I was able to give her some of my Alyson Greenfield soap which she sweetly thanked me for. When I wrote my first electronic song on the Casio I was sitting on the floor of my apartment in Alabama amazed at the beautiful, dreamy sounds that were coming out of the CT-380 keyboard my parents bought me in the early 90s. The sounds reminded me of 3 of my favorite songwriters who I feel most eloquently and honestly sing about what it feels like to be a human while adding otherworldy sounds into their compositions. As I sat on the floor and transported myself into this new electronic world, I thought of Bjork, Kate Bush, and Peter Gabriel, and wrote “Human Behavior.”
